Light transmittance can not only reveal the visual features of porcelain's appearance, but also reflect its internal physical and chemical properties.

The light transmittance is closely related to factors such as the mineral phase composition of the porcelain body, crystal shape, chemical composition, particle size, the number of pores and the degree of firing.

The light transmittance index can be used to determine the content of the liquid phase (glass phase) inside the device, compare the uniformity of different parts of the same device, and assist in determining the baking temperature range of the product, etc. Therefore, the determination of light transmittance is of great significance for the quality assessment of porcelain and scientific research in the ceramic industry.
