Description: RoHS 2.0 Directive 

On June 4, 2015, the European Union issued a directive (EU) in its official gazette 2015/863 to amend RoHS2.0 (2011/65 / EU) Appendix II, and officially revised the four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP) are listed in Appendix II of RoHS2.0. As of December 31, 2016, EU member states must translate this directive into national regulations and implement them. The limits of the four new phthalates are all 0.1% (1000 ppm). The difference from the four priority evaluation substances proposed earlier is the deletion of hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD) and the addition of DIBP as Regulated substances.

Testing principle

The thermal cracking method is to place the solid sample in a thermal cracking device, which is heated to 350 degrees in a nitrogen-filled environment, then the phthalate ester will undergo a physical reaction, changing from a solid state to a gas state, and then, We calculated the content of gaseous phthalates by means of a gas chromatograph.
