A.Functions: this set of tools is designed to test the sizing degree of paper and paper board based on the standards of GB-T 460-2002.

C.Operating steps

1.Firstly get a piece of specimen 150mm*150mm according to GB/T 450, mark the front side and back side.Each side of paper at least need 3 pieces of specimen. It is better of wear gloves when doing the test in order to avoid touching the specimen directly.

2.Adjust the width of marker to make sure it is suitable for the specimen.For example, paper with 40-50g should be 0.50mm and paper with 60g should be 0.75mm. And the marker should be completely filled with standard ink.

3.Put the specimen on the glass board and make it flat, and the marker is next to the glass board with an angle 45°. Draw a line quickly(make sure to draw more than 10CM in one second).

4.If the ink doesn’t spread and soak, the operater needs to adjust the width of line untill the ink spread and soak.If the ink spreads and soaks,the operater needs to adjust the width of line untill the ink doesn’t spread and soak.

5.Let the specimen dry in the air naturally, compare them with the transparent standard chip of width(remove the head part and tail part as 1.5cm respectively).The biggest width of line which doesn’t spread and soak is the sizing degree of paper.
