Test Project 3P is a general simulation test for individual packaged-products shipped through a parcel delivery system within India.

Highlight of ISTA 3P
- India-based field data simulation:Accurately simulates vibration, shock, and climate conditions experienced by packaged products (<70 kg) in India's courier environment supported by extensive local field data.
- More stringent than current ISTA standards:Exceeds existing ISTA test procedures in handling intensity, drop height, and truck vibration levels.
- Environmental preconditioning:Proposed standard conditions: 80°F (27.8°℃) and 61% RH for 72 hours, representing India's typical climate.
- Drop height required from 914mm to 1524mm for different weight products.
- Top load definition:Most shipments in India are floor-loaded and pre-weighed; therefore, top load is determined by the trailer's maximum allowable weight.
- Random vibration testing:Uses road transport spectra and collection/delivery vehicle spectra, with clearly defined test directions and durations that fully reflect India's transport environment.
